Inside a Custom Defender

The world-famous Land Rover is a versatile off-road vehicle that’s designed to get you where you need to go. It’s also one of the best luxury SUVs you can drive on a daily basis, whether it’s to work or play.

Is Defender a luxury car?

But that’s not all. There are a number of custom builders, including E.C.D., Safari HP, Overfinch, and Monarch Defender, who turn a classic Land Rover into something incredibly exclusive, one-of-a-kind, and ready for spirited adventure.

Inside a Custom Defender

The interior of a Custom Defender is pretty much like the exterior: It’s a rugged-looking truck with plenty of room and an easy-to-use infotainment system. It doesn’t have any of the ultra-luxurious leather and swooping door panels that some of the more expensive versions of the Land Rover have, but it’s still a nice place to hang out when you’re not out on the trails. It’s got a good-looking dashboard, too. Instead of the slick-looking modern units you’ll find in most vehicles, this truck features a “Puma”-style dash that looks like it came straight from a Defender.

Osprey has added a lot to the dashboard, mainly an aftermarket head unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has an Atoto rearview camera, a Chevrolet console shifter, and a heated windshield.

What’s most impressive is how quickly the EV Defender accelerates out of the hole, with instant torque to help you get going. It’s a blast to drive, and the regenerative braking is very well-tuned and capable of slowing down at highway speeds.
