Many apartment hunters focus on finding the best rental deal. But sometimes the deal doesn’t include everything you need to live comfortably. Fortunately, it is possible to find fully furnished apartments for rent in NYC. If you want to skip the hassle of furnishing your new home, consider renting furniture from CORT for the duration of your lease. You can use our ApartmentSearch to search for apartments with furniture included, or you can select a home furnishing package to suit your budget and timeline. Learn more www.capreit.ca
How Are Move In Specials Factored Into Your Rent?
The apartment perks that come with a move in special are usually factored into the total monthly cost of your rent. For example, if you sign a two month lease and get two months free of rent payments, that will cut your apartment costs by $3,000 (assuming the apartments are similar in size). In some cases, landlords may require you to sign a longer lease in order to offer the move in special.
Alyssa Brody, an associate broker at Development Marketing Team in NYC, says that requests for delayed move-in dates have been rising as the city prepares to reopen schools in July and August. She and her team have been working with a few tenants who are looking to sign a lease now but will not be able to move in until later this year.
It is important to remember that just because an apartment or rental comes with appliances, it does not mean that the appliances are new. Some units and rentals don’t include basic appliances, like refrigerators and stoves, and you will be expected to provide your own. You should always ask what is and isn’t included to avoid any surprises.
